5 Health Problems This is Influenced by Your Blood Type

Humans do many things to stay healthy and fight diseases such as exercise, diet, maintaining adequate sleep schedules, and so on. Still, there are things that are out of control and can affect health, such as blood type.

1. Stress: Blood Type A


People with blood group A typically have high levels of the stress hormone cortisol were higher. Stress, when left unchecked, can lead to more serious health problems such as high blood pressure, heart disease, obesity, and diabetes.

2. Heart disease: Blood type AB


According to a study from Harvard University in 2012, people with non-O blood group have more risk for developing cardiovascular disease, but those with blood type AB have the highest risk.

3. Memory problems: Blood Type AB


A study from the University of Vermont found that people with blood group AB were 82 percent more likely to have higher thinking and memory problems. "Blood type is associated with many diseases such as stroke which feature a vascular problem and we think that this is contributing to memory problems," explains Dr. Mary Cushman, lead author of the study.

4. Ulcer: Blood Type O


According DrMirkin.com, people with blood type O have antibodies that react strongly against Helicobacter pylori, a type of bacteria that causes sores and ulcers. If you have blood type O, you tend to be more prone to stomach aches and ulcers if infected with H. pylori bacteria.

5. Pancreatic Cancer and Stomach Cancer: Non-Blood Type O

Antibodies that people with blood type O are more sensitive to the bacteria H. pylori also create a lower risk of pancreatic cancer. It is found one study published in the American Journal of Epidemiology. People with type AB blood are more at risk of developing stomach cancer.

Fortunately, the risk of your blood type is not significant, said Dr. Gustaf Edgren, author of the study. "There is little we can do about stomach cancer about it. But the risks associated with blood type is actually too small to make much difference."

So, what should you do?

Although you can not change your blood type, know that you are prone to certain types of diseases can help in the long run and encourage you live a different lifestyle.
